There are three basic features to a man’s wardrobe that need to be addressed, namely ties, accessories and shirts. All three features should complement each other, in order to appear smart and stylish at the place of work.

When buying shirts, it is essential to take note of the color of the shirt. Usually, solid color shirts are preferred for workplace. White is the most popular choice due to its ability to complement a tie or suit of any other color. For instance, white with a light pink tie over a black suit is the most worn combination all over the world. Other light colored shirts worn at the office are complemented with a tie of a lighter or darker shade, in order to enhance ones’ look.

In general, plain ties are preferential as they tend to give a smarter look. Usually, plain shirts are coordinated with ties of simple patterns whereas for a patterned shirt always use a plain tie.
